Mark Reyland Slams Louis Foreman,Edison Nation, and Patrick Raymond one year ago..... Happy Anniversary !

Look's like Mark Reyland had an agenda to take down Louis Foreman ,Edison Nation and Patrick Raymond when he applied for the UIA Executive Directors position. The attached email below was written by Mark a couple months before he aplied for the UIA position.

Hey Mark!!
Thanks for the email--very interesting stuff. I actually have a ton of things going on at the Housewares Show(I'll attach some info) with lots of speakers and product reviewers. Let me know what you think! I only mentioned Warren Tuttle and Louis Foreman because I figured the folks on EN would recognize the names--but I thought in a good way :-) Your comments about the EN product searches are very similar to thoughts I have had about that whole process as well. Glad to know others think the same way about that.
Can you tell me more about you and your company?? Based on your response to the Pitchmen questions--it's pretty obvious you know your stuff. I work on trying to create events and educational opportunities to help inventors make good connections--perhaps there can be some synergy between us??
Thanks again for your feedback. It's always good to hear what folks are thinking and be exposed to the bigger picture!

Subject: Hi Jennifer
Hi Jennifer,
I saw your post on EN about the invent 911 program. I could not help myself I have to comment.

First let me say I have been inventing and developing products for many years now, I have many products on store shelves and owning a product development company I get a front row seat to the process an inventor goes through when they develop a product for the market.

I have been working with these inventors for years, and I have to tell you Jennifer the last thing they need is more Louis Forman and the UIA . Neither of them know much at all about doing anything but feeding egos and lining pockets – certainly not the industry.

It is my professional opinion - the invention lottery of EN is a scam of the highest order serving as a front for Louis to obtain partial patent rights on other people’s inventions – a conclusion supported by the USPTO records showing he has filed over 180 new patents (not counting those under 18 months that have not published) in the last several years for “enhancements” to submitted ideas under a number of his employees names and assigned to shell companies.

Below are the links to the USPTO web site searches for Daniel Bizzell, Louis’s business partner. You will find several of his employees listed, but curiously enough never the inventor who submitted the idea.

This is a great example. This link is to the patent application for the Emory Cat product. http://appft.uspto.gov/netacgi/nph-Parser?Sect1=PTO2&Sect2=HITOFF&p=1&u=%2Fnetahtml%2FPTO%2Fsearch-bool.html&r=3&f=G&l=50&co1=AND&d=PG01&s1=%22bizzell,+daniel%22&OS="bizzell,+daniel"&RS="bizzell,+daniel" You can see that it’s the exact design and lists all the parts and processes but the inventors listed are all either employees of Louis or associates. Where is the inventor who paid his 25 dollars and submitted the idea? Not listed – yet EN keeps peddling him to other inventors as if he is a great success story.

This link is a patent filed by Bizzell, and assigned to EN – you may recognize it from the Everyday Edison’s TV show – again, the real inventor is not even listed. http://patft.uspto.gov/netacgi/nph-Parser?Sect1=PTO2&Sect2=HITOFF&p=1&u=%2Fnetahtml%2FPTO%2Fsearch-bool.html&r=22&f=G&l=50&co1=AND&d=PTXT&s1=%22bizzell,+daniel%22&OS="bizzell,+daniel"&RS="bizzell,+daniel"

These links are simple searches on Daniel Bizzell, as you can see, he has 107 applications on file and 75 awarded patents. Look through them and you will quickly see they are almost all related to the 25 dollar submissions and almost all have several members of his staff listed as inventors.

There are not as many professionals in this industry who will work with inventors simply because you can’t compete with the garbage being thrown around by the dozens of people in the industry like these guys. By the time an inventor comes to someone like me they have already either been ripped off by them, or filled with so much crap that simply isn’t true, it takes forever to just deprogram them into reality. I hear these stories every day Jennifer, someone needs to help these folks and it’s not Louis or the UIA.

On behalf of inventors all over this country – please don’t give these predators a base to work from. The inventors have a hard enough time as it is.

Thanks for your time Jennifer, and have a great show.

Inflated sense of self-importance

Narcissistic Personality Disorder

Narcissistic Personality Disorder is characterized by a long-standing pattern of grandiosity (either in fantasy or actual behavior), an overwhelming need for admiration, and usually a complete lack of empathy toward others. People with this disorder often believe they are of primary importance in everybody's life or to anyone they meet. While this pattern of behavior may be appropriate for a king in 16th Century England, it is generally considered inappropriate for most ordinary people today.
People with narcissistic personality disorder often display snobbish, disdainful, or patronizing attitudes. For example, an individual with this disorder may complain about a clumsy waiter's "rudeness" or "stupidity" or conclude a medical evaluation with a condescending evaluation of the physician.
In laypeople terms, someone with this disorder may be described simply as a "narcissist" or as someone with "narcissism." Both of these terms generally refer to someone with narcissistic personality disorder.

Symptoms of Narcissistic Personality Disorder

In order for a person to be diagnosed with narcissistic personality disorder (NPD) they must meet five or more of the following symptoms:
  • Has a grandiose sense of self-importance (e.g., exaggerates achievements and talents, expects to be recognized as superior without commensurate achievements)
  • Is preoccupied with fantasies of unlimited success, power, brilliance, beauty, or ideal love
  • Believes that he or she is "special" and unique and can only be understood by, or should associate with, other special or high-status people (or institutions)
  • Requires excessive admiration
  • Has a very strong sense of entitlement, e.g., unreasonable expectations of especially favorable treatment or automatic compliance with his or her expectations
  • Is exploitative of others, e.g., takes advantage of others to achieve his or her own ends
  • Lacks empathy, e.g., is unwilling to recognize or identify with the feelings and needs of others
  • Is often envious of others or believes that others are envious of him or her
  • Regularly shows arrogant, haughty behaviors or attitudes

But wait there's more !

Johnny Gee
johnnygee

We all know Mark had Johnny Gee as another one of his personalities on Edison Nation. There is more arising now.
Patrice has actually been helping me with my invention Mike, We’ve emailed quite a bit off line actually.
I see, you must know allot about the things you spout off about Mike, anyone who knows Dallas has heard of Greenville. – Greenville is about an hour East of Dallas, maybe you should look at a map.
For the record, I don’t have to defend myself to you, all I did was suggest something that I thought may keep the fighting down some, that’s all. But like your worldly knowledge of geography, your theory isn’t thought out very well either.
If I was Mark R, then getting any kind of tag on my picture wouldn’t really do any good because Mark R doesn’t post here any more. If I was Johnny comin back as Mark R I wouldn’t be able to claim enough experience to get a tag as Johnny, and I wouldn’t be able to give any professional advice as Johnny, so why would I do that?
Now, I know this is going to come as a HUGE shock to you, but Elvis is really dead, and JFK was shot with only one bullet. No, it’s true, just like I’m not Mark R and I seriously doubt that Chris dude is either.

There was always a rumor that Mark Reyland approached women about their inventions, put them in a compromising position, if he could, and then use it against them when he needed them to disappear. Now we don’t know this for sure and we may try to locate the woman this appears to have happened to. Given what we read it may be believable. He writes to this woman about a sexual toy and wants to make her smile? Not appropriate for ANY professional and can be seen as sexual harassment. It appears Reyland may have a serious issue with women. Below is Patrice. The inventor Reyland harassed in Edison Nation Forum, Inventright forum and on her personal blog.

I knew it! I knew it when he sent me emails as Johnny and I could tell by the way he phrased certain sentences. The one “come on, I know it made you smile” was one of Mark’s sayings and then it hit me like a ton of bricks! Then he posted on my blog as Mark and immediately afterward, made a comment as Johnny with his Texas accent but forgot to log out as Mark! So his sign on said Mark Reyland. So when I confornted him, he denied it and I thought, well what if he really is a real person and I’m doing this to him. So I gave him the benefit of the doubt. But there is NO doubt in my mind now that Johnny is Mark.
  • Mark exits EN and in comes Johnny!
  • Johnny Gee – come on now the name alone is pathetic
  • His invention is an adult toy?
  • When I asked him to stop posting on that hater thread he did it more
  • He would email me everyday asking about Mark so that I talked about him which I didn’t!
  • He would ask me for help but just say, I need HELP nothing specific in order to catch me in giving bad inventing advice???
  • Now he’s promoting Mark as Johnny.
  • He would never do a phone conference or talk to me on the phone.
But that’s an expert for ya. He had all us amatuers fooled didn’t he? Including me. Who has time to run around making up characters all day? Especially when you have businesses to run?
Hey, where is Johnny anyway? If he were real, surely he could prove that he was a real person right?

Here she states it’s the SECOND time? That would be stalking, no?

Well I am mad. This is the second time he tried to hurt me. What was he sneaking around trying to get me to give bad inventing advice so he could prove that I don’t know what I’m doing? Posing as a newbie and wasting my time!
I guess when he couldn’t bust me he decided to promote himself as stated above that “all the ones that gave the best advice over the last 6 months worth of threads have left.”

This final post by Mark (never final because he never leaves ANY forum) is a final threat to this lady, letting her know he will post more? He implies there’s more going on by calling it a personal relationship then she disappears. Convenient for Reyland, don’t you think?

Johnny Gee
johnnygee
Johnny’s back…well kind of anyway.
This is way out of hand, and I know the real reason I did what I did. Although I won’t talk about my personal relationships here on this forum, I do owe you an explanation – however I will only answer questions pertaining to the history between Patrice and I in private emails.
None of this really had anything to do with the rest of you – and I’m truly sorry you felt deceived.
That is all I’m going to say on the subject – you will no longer find Mark or Johnny posting on EN.

Is Mark Reyland's background really what he claims it is?

People are asking us questions about Mark Reyland and we're attempting to find the answers. Since we can only find the answers by what Mark Reyland himself claims and the United Inventors Association (UIA) claims to perform such in depth back ground checks, we're hoping they'll provide the public with some answers. The UIA wants to be a non profit educational center for inventors, then please educate us on Mark Reyland's background from other sources other than what he writes about himself. I think people and the UIA board members will finally start digging into his background and claims he makes.....

Reyland indicates he has 5 patents under application. Here's what WE found.
One application can be located for a "Structure having a wrap and method of wrapping said structure" filed on 05/24/2007 application number 11/805807 . Looking in the USPTO Public Pair File Wrapper the application went abandoned on 09-15-2010 for "Failure to respond to an office action". The application was more than likley abandoned due to not being able to over come 25 out of 33 patent claims "Rejected" by the USPTO examiner..

On this forum in the UK Mark indicates his wraps are Patent Pending in his first post on April 17,2007 ...see below
http://www.uksignboards.com/viewtopic.php?t=26775

Only ONE day later on April 18,2007 Reyland states "We were able to get an international patent on this process. 3D on vehicles" http://www.uksignboards.com/viewtopic.php?t=26775&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=10&sid=612141b049283fdf2be7aa7f0781c5ea

Searching International Patents reveals there is "NO" patent for his wraps....... Another lie?

Mark Reyland prides himself on his 3 companies. Innovative Brand Technologies Inc., Obvious Ideas LLC, and The Tank LLC. If you search the companies the only info that can be found on them is from him.

After researching Mark's statement below about his inventions and products being published in magazines and trade journals, the only support we can find is written by himself about himself.

"Reyland’s inventions and products have been widely published in magazines and trade journals around the world. You can often hear him as a guest lecturer at universities, corporations, and inventor forums, or read his daily Inventor blog,"

After researching Mark's statement below delivering as a guest lecturer at universities and corporations. There is NO support to prove its true other that what he has written.
We cannot find the names of these magazines or anything else he claims. With the UIA wanting inventor trust, they need to come forward and show Mark Reyland is who he claims to be. So far everything we find only proves he is NOT who he claims to be.

Mark Reyland's biography below was written by him. How much if any is actually true?
